Welcome back!

It’s been so lovely to see the children back at school this week. It’s been a very chilly return – thank you very much for sending the children to school with warm clothing so that they’ve still been able to enjoy our lovely grounds and learn outside. I really enjoyed seeing the wonderful snowmen the children made this week.

Attendance and punctuality

Thank you to our families for your ongoing support in getting students to school every day and on time. Regular attendance plays a powerful role in children’s learning, wellbeing, and confidence. Research shows that pupils with near-perfect attendance (95–100%) are much more likely to reach key learning standards and achieve positive outcomes than those who miss even a few extra days — for example, students who attend nearly every day in Year 6 have around 30% higher odds of reaching the expected standards in reading, writing and maths compared with similar peers who attend slightly less regularly. Education Hub Being on time is just as important — it helps children settle into their day calmly, builds good habits, and ensures they don’t miss key instructions or social moments with classmates. We truly appreciate the effort families make each morning; these routines make a meaningful difference and set students up for success.
