Extra-Curricular Activities

There is a real buzz around Ravenswood as our extra-curricular activities get underway once again! From next week, children will be able to enjoy a wide range of clubs including football, film, table tennis, fun fitness, sewing and Glee Club, with even more activities coming soon.

Music lessons are now up and running, and our external sports coaches have also begun working with pupils. We are delighted to have introduced our new Chicken Rangers, and this week our Year 6 pupils completed their training to become Playground Leaders, helping to make lunchtimes enjoyable and inclusive for everyone.

School Councillors have recently been elected, and next week they will take on their first important responsibility: selecting our new Vision Ambassadors. Year 6 candidates will bravely present speeches to explain why they would be excellent ambassadors for one of the five branches of our school vision: Love Learning, Show Respect, Inspire, Be Resilient and Be Healthy. These ambassadors will play a key role in promoting and championing our values across the school.

A huge thank you to all the staff who generously give up their time to run clubs and provide these fantastic opportunities for our children. Their enthusiasm and commitment help to enrich school life and create memorable experiences for everyone involved.

New reception parent visits

On Tuesday morning we have the first of our prospective parent visits for reception 2027. If you or you know someone who would be interesting in visiting our school to find out more about Ravenswood, please sign up for one of the many visits available by clicking here.

School Dinners

We’re aware that the ‘ordering school dinner’ section of our school app was previously not working. Mrs Nockels has contacted the company directly and believe the issue has now been resolved. If anyone still has difficulties with the app please contact the school office.

School Council launch the ‘quiet area’

We’re very proud of our school council who right at the end of last year worked together to re-launch the quiet area of our playground for children who prefer a quieter area for playtimes/lunchtime.
