Ravenswood Primary School

Ravenswood Primary School

Week beginning 11th January 2021

I have sent an email to all parents today, so this is another short blog. The email can be seen in the letters section of the website.

It has been a week of settling into routines. The children in school are getting used to their new bubbles and sometimes different teachers and are all doing really well in the circumstances. We are following the home learning packs in school, so that everyone gets a very similar education at this difficult time.

The Seesaw platform has really taken off this week and we are delighted to be able to interact with children in this way. Teachers are slowly developing their skills and have some exciting ideas of how to make it even more engaging. I want to thank them all for adapting to yet another new teaching style.

Most classes have also had a Zoom meeting this week, which we feel is important to maintain the feeling of community.

Governors met via Zoom on Tuesday to discuss how the new term and new guidelines were affecting school. Their support at times like this is incredibly reassuring and I want to thank them for giving up this valuable time.

Stay safe.
