Week beginning 7th January 2019
Happy New Year and I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas break.
I am afraid I will be keeping the first blog of the year quite short, as I am writing from my sick bed. I seem to have picked up a rather nasty flu bug, along with four other members of staff - who are all women, so no man-flu comments please! Having said that, mine is clearly the worst!
Mrs Clougher has started us all off on a healthy 2019 with assemblies on reducing our sugar intake and encouraging staff and parents to join in with completing a mile a day of exercise. I therefore won’t tell you who it was that coughed through Monday and Tuesday in our office and is being held responsible for our current lack of staff! I am struggling to notch up a mile a day walking between my bed and the sofa.
Next week, the Year 6 staff will be holding a parent meeting at 5pm to discuss preparation for this year’s SAT tests. Please feel free to come along. Also, lots of our Year 4, 5 and 6 pupils have signed up to take part in a piece of research done by Fiona Ling from Northumbria University. This all starts on Wednesday for Year 6 and on Thursday for Years 4 and 5. Thanks for helping out with this.
